My darling little Sydney came down with the flu a couple of weeks ago. Of course, being a good mom, I took care of her and now she is on the mend. And of course now that she is feeling better, I am not feeling so well myself! Please forgive me for not being so wordy. I really want to crawl in bed right now, but I wanted to post a few of the projects that I have finished. (Vee, Kathleen, Delia, Kat, Alison and Valerie, I have your emails and will answer soon. If I forgot to add your name to that, please forgive me, my brain is feeling a little fuzzy right now and I just don’t want you to think that I’ve been ignoring you! and Kathleen.. yes, if the offer still stands!
)
I have been busy during those long days of taking care of her. A little stash diving, hunting down my old steel hooks and pulled out a couple of old magazines and books. I hope you enjoy the photos!
Here we have the “Hearty Welcome” table runner. Done in size 10 crochet thread on a size 5 hook in the linen color. Of course this one is Sydney’s favorite as it has lots of hearts.

Next, “Runner with Roses” but it’s really more of a dresser scarf. Worked in size 20 white thread with a size 11 hook.

Starlight Doily in size 10 thread and size 10 hook.

Plantation Charm Doily, size 20 thread, size 10 hook.

Pretty Swirls Doily in size 30 thread and size 11 hook. This one is Spurg’s favorite.

That’s about it for now. I’ll try not to be so long between posts next time. Stay healthy! I’m off for a little more hot and sour soup before I crawl back into bed for a little rest.

Oh my goodness, those are absolutely beautiful! I love filet crochet (is that the right term for it?) I know how to crochet but I find reading the patterns daunting (I know, this is from someone who enjoys reading a weave draft, go figure)
Get better fast, there are projects waiting

The offer stands!
And no rush to reply. I’ve been so crazy busy I wasn’t sitting here tapping my foot.
Though, it’s good to “hear” from you. Hope everything (beside Sydney’s flu) is well.

Wow! What gorgeous work. I’m really blown away.
Never feel like you ‘owe’ me any e-mail… I’m literally thousands of messages behind myself.
